Christmas Wonderland
On Tuesday 20thDecember 2016, members of the Power Tynan team volunteered at the Christmas Wonderland held in Queens Park, an event which raises much needed funds for three major local charities: Lifeline Darling Downs & South West Qld Ltd, Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and Toowoomba Hospice.
Power Tynan volunteers each year at Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland to help celebrate Christmas within the Darling Downs community. Our team love the interaction with patrons at this event, and it is yet another way for us to have fun outside the workplace.
The event was a great success, with the event raising $100,000 to be distributed to the beneficiaries. Our team look forward to participating again this year.
Adopt a Family
The Power Tynan team showed tremendous Christmas spirit by once again adopting a family via Lifeline Darling Downs & South West QLD Ltd, as part of The Chronicle Adopt A Family Appeal.
This appeal aims to help make Christmas a special time for struggling families within our community by providing food hampers and presents to those less fortunate.
Edna’s 45 Years
As part of our end of year Christmas function, we celebrated Edna Hurtz’s 45 years with Power Tynan – “This Is Your Life” style. Previous Power Tynan Directors Peter Power and Scott Patterson attended the sit down lunch and shared fond memories of their time with Edna, while those who could not be present sent their congratulations via videos or letters, which were shown and read on the day.
