  2. Education
I went to Primary School at St Mary’s in Warwick, QLD starting in preschool in 1996 until completing Grade 7 in 2003. I then completed my senior schooling at Warwick State High School and graduated in 2008.
After this, I started studying at University of Southern Queensland in Semester 1 2009 and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2013. I am currently studying towards completing my CPA.
  3. Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy skiing and tubing with my family at Leslie Dam in Warwick with my brother’s ski boat. I am still new to this, so still learning every day. Other than this, I also play a couple of social sports including Volleyball, Touch and Mixed Netball. When away from work, I enjoy being outdoors, which usually results in me being sunburnt.
  4. When did you start working at Power Tynan?
I started working at Power Tynan in Toowoomba on 27 January 2009 through the Power Tynan Undergraduate Scholarship Program.
  5. Why did you apply for a job at Power Tynan?
I was originally prompted to apply for a job at Power Tynan through teachers at my high school. Throughout the initial application process, I always found my fellow staff members to be very positive and helpful, which led me to feel as if the environment they projected was one that I could see myself enjoying working in. This led me to interview through the scholarship program. After first interviewing, I convinced myself that there was no possibility that I would be successful until I received a phone call confirming the position.
  6. Why do you enjoy working at Power Tynan?
The main reason I enjoy working at Power Tynan is for the people, being both the staff and the clients. As a whole, the staff at Power Tynan have fulfilled my original expectations and have always been fully supportive, regardless of whether it is from a work or learning perspective, or even just in relation to my life outside of work. The atmosphere in all of the offices is one that always makes you want to come back the next day and start all over again, regardless of how the day before may have turned out. On top of the day to day workplace environment, it is also the outside events that help with this atmosphere, which can vary from corporate triathlons to regular staff outings. The professional relationships that I develop with my clients also adds to my experience at Power Tynan. Knowing that completing my job well can help improve the businesses and livelihoods of my clients makes every day enjoyable.
