Matthew is an enthusiastic and dedicated Undergraduate Accountant at Power Tynan, committed to helping clients streamline their financial processes and achieve success. Growing up on his family-owned cattle property near Toowoomba, Matthew developed a deep understanding of the challenges agribusinesses face and how critical informed financial decisions are to their sustainability. This firsthand experience, combined with his passion for making a positive impact, inspired him to pursue a career in accounting and finance.

Through the Power Tynan Scholarship Program, Matthew has gained invaluable hands-on experience, working with a supportive team that shares his values of collaboration, reliability, and excellence. His favourite part of his role is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships—not only with his team members but also with clients, helping them tackle financial complexities with confidence.

Outside of work, Matthew is a passionate cricket and rugby league fan, an avid learner of war history, and a die-hard 80s and 90s rock music enthusiast. When he’s away from the office, you can often find him lending a hand on his family property or planning trips from heading to watch the State of Origin to travelling to visit historic battlegrounds in Europe like Gallipoli, Passchendaele, and Pozieres.
