Toowoomba Hospice Hang Ya Boss Out to Dry
Our CEO Paul Hilton participated in the Toowoomba Hospice Hang Ya Boss Out to Dry event, raising almost $3,000 for this very deserving charity.
Paul spent time up in the air in both the cherry picker and the scissor lift, loving every minute of it!
Thank you to everyone who supported Paul in his fundraising efforts.
ALEAs
Congratulations to Ben Twidale and Jacob Oyat, who were both named as finalists in the 2017 Australian Leadership Excellence Awards, run by the Institute of Managers & Leaders.
Although they did not take home the win, both Ben and Jacob did a fantastic job of representing both themselves and Power Tynan, and should be very proud of what they have achieved.
Light the Night
Power Tynan team members took part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s annual Light the Night events held in both Stanthorpe and Toowoomba. These events bring communities together to provide hope, support and love to patients, their families and supporters.
USQ Student Representative of the Year
Congratulations to Jacob Oyat for being named the 2017 USQ Student Representative of the Year.
Jacob is an active member of the student body committing time to both the USQ and local communities, and recently represented USQ in Canberra at the National Student Leadership Forum.
Social Club
The PT Toowoomba crew had a great time at Tick Tock Escape Rooms for their Spring social club function. Split into three groups, each team was locked in a room filled with a series of challenges that must be solved to unlock the mystery of the room. The diversity of puzzles had to be completed with teamwork and cooperation in order to escape!
USQ Graduation
Congratulations to Zachary Bichel, who is our latest scholarship recipient to complete his degree via USQ.
Digital Disruption – An Unprecedented Opportunity

Designed specifically for accountants, this event addressed all aspects of technology and disruption; where the integration of data and technology will revolutionise the role of accountants and other professional services, now and into the future.
If you would like to discuss the disruptions facing your business or industry, please give us a call!
CPA Graduation
Chloe Morello and Kristelle McCleverty recently completed their CPA, receiving their certificates at the Toowoomba & Darling Downs Certificate & Awards Ceremony.
Well done girls!

Congratulations to Jason Clewley and his partner Keri, who recently tied the knot at a beautiful ceremony at Preston Peak Winery.
The Great Debate
The Institute of Managers and Leaders recently held The Great Generational Debate, where our HR Manager Claire Ryan and our CEO Paul Hilton went head-to-head on the topic "Millennials are the Greatest Generation to Lead and Manage".
While Paul and the affirmative officially lost the debate (which was judged based on the highest applause), he did quite the “rap up”:
