While most of us have been told breakfast is the most important meal of the day, sadly there are many kids who go to school on an empty stomach, and of course we all know how that affects our concentration and performance!
To combat this, Stanthorpe State Primary School have implemented a breakfast program to feed those children who come to school without having eaten breakfast.
To support this fantastic initiative, the Power Tynan Charitable Trust recently donated $1,500 to the Stanthorpe State Primary School Breakfast Club, via Granite Belt Support Services.
“We are very grateful for this donation,” said school chaplain Marcel. “A simple meal, such as a piece of toast and a cup of hot milo, can go a long way in helping kids learn and get a good start to their day!”
